Being from New England, we have spent a lot of time traveling in Boston, walking through Harvard Square, visiting Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, seeing concerts, and watching the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Boston is a beautiful city to visit. It is not however, an automobile friendly city. Driving in Boston can be frustrating. If you do visit Boston, my advice would be to book a nice Hotel and use your legs and public transportation. The cobblestone streets and colonial architecture will keep you walking for sure. The Freedom Trail comprises 16 sites relative to the Revolutionary War. Boston has so much to see and do that you would have no trouble spending a week and having a great time.
Boston has some great restaurants and many are located in the city’s south end. If you do rent a car you can do day trips to Cape Cod, Newport Rhode Island, Providence Rhode Island, or in football season, you can head over to Patriot Place at Gillette Stadium, the home of the New England Patriots.
I’ve attached some photos and a few links to provide you with more information.
Enjoy your travel to beautiful Boston!
