We visited NYC a few years ago during mid-week. The city had roped off several blocks in the 6th Avenue area to prevent vehicle traffic. It reminded me of the block parties of my youth. Street vendors, every kind of fast food imaginable, hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, you name it. It was fabulous!
